Entrepreneur, Educator

C.J. is an entrepreneur and educator with over 30 years’ experience teaching entrepreneurship and starting small businesses. He holds an MBA from Babson College and is a leader in entrepreneurial education who specializes in curriculum design for individuals as well as groups. He has designed entrepreneurship programs at all levels from elementary to adult learners. C.J. is certified in Driving Economic Growth Through Entrepreneurship Ecosystems through Babson Executive Education & is a certified internal corporate coach. In 1987, C.J. co-founded The National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship. As the co-founder of NFTE, he helped develop curriculum and launch an entrepreneurship training program that's been implemented at high schools and universities around the world. During his career, C.J. has trained thousands of entrepreneurs in the principles of starting and scaling a small business. C.J. also trains educators, his methods and teaching strategies having been adopted in over 25 countries. In recognition of his work in this field, he received the Price Babson Fellowship for Entrepreneurship Educators. C.J. believes in lifelong learning and leads by example. To stay current, he takes one workshop and two online courses each year. Most recently, he completed the IDEO course on Creative Leadership and was certified in Entrepreneurship Essentials through HBX | Harvard Business School.

James Barrood

Ecosystem Builder, Innovator, Advisor, Educator

James is among the primary leaders of the east coast's innovation ecosystem. Over the past 20+ years he has helped nurture entrepreneurial, innovation and technology communities. He has been recognized as a Power 100 List leader and a Top 100 Influencer. For the past five years he led one of the largest tech trade associations, the NJ Tech Council. Prior to this he led the top ranked entrepreneurship and innovation center at Fairleigh Dickinson University for most of 17 years. He currently serves as an advisor to startups, growth companies and institutions as well as Tech Council Ventures and Jumpstart Angels Network. James is the editor of the book, Entrepreneurship and Innovation: Global Insights from 24 Leaders and co-author of Lessons from the Great Recession. He has written articles for Entrepreneur, Business Insider, Grit Daily, ROI, NJBiz and other publications and has been widely quoted regionally and nationally. He frequently speaks at regional and global conferences and serves on several boards. He holds an MBA from Texas A&M University and a BA in Economics from Rutgers University.

Gina Tedesco

Investor, Serial Entrepreneur, FDU Professor

Gina is an active investor, serial entrepreneur, professor and mentor. Currently managing member of Amala Ventures, a venture firm investing in disruptive technology in the USA and Brazil, her career of over 30 years includes co-founding 3 successful start-up ventures, overseas postings in finance and M&A with a global pharmaceutical company and industry expertise in pharmaceuticals, biotech, and technology. Gina is a member and board member of Jumpstart NJ Angel Network and a member of Golden Seeds. She also serves on the board of two private companies and is an Advisory Board Member of the Rothman Institute of Entrepreneurship. In addition, she is an Adjunct Professor at Fairleigh Dickinson University and is currently teaching various online courses in entrepreneurship.

Dr. Diana Kyser

Serial Entrepreneur, Tech Executive

Diana is a serial entrepreneur; her first business was a software development firm in the early days of the PC, and her most successful was C3i, Inc., a $100M venture funded global technology solutions firm that she co-founded in 1993 and sold to Merck. Dr. Kyser has also held leadership positions in marketing, customer care, operations and human resources at large firms like American Express, JPMorgan Chase and LexisNexis, as well as startups like TheLadders.com. During her career, Dr. Kyser has led just about every function within a business including operations, technology, customer service, finance, human resources and sales. This experience has given her a unique, execution-focused perspective that she now brings to her role as Chief Operating Officer of SWK Technologies. Dr. Kyser taught for many years at Fairleigh Dickinson University's Rothman Institute for Entrepreneurship in Madison, NJ and Thomas Edison State College in the MBA, Masters and undergraduate programs. She has served on the Board of Advisors for the Women's Center for Entrepreneurship in Chatham, NJ and on the Board of Trustees for Family Connections in Orange, NJ. She holds a BA from Birmingham-Southern College and an MBA from New York University a Doctorate in Business at Temple University. Dr. Kyser was a 2014 Leading Women Entrepreneurs and Business Owners finalist and a 2015 recipient of NJBIZ Best 50 Women in Business Award and is a resident of Summit, NJ.

Stephanie Bousheri

Stephanie is an accomplished entrepreneurial leader and UC Davis and UCSF trained clinician scientist with global experience spanning patient care, clinical research, product strategy, commercialization, and business development. Throughout her career she has focused on ways to use technology and the idea of scale to innovate, uplift, educate, and help others. From working as a nurse; to founding a non-profit to deliver care in underserved communities; to taking the first therapeutic HIV vaccine to Africa; to serving on the founding team of Welkin, company focused on improving chronic disease; to operating as a general manager at Coursera. Over the course of her career she has worked with both Fortune 500 companies and start-ups to bring novel solutions to market and drive company growth. In her free time she gives back by serving on several boards, and advising early stage companies.

Micheline Nader

CEO, Jesra Foundation

Micheline Nader, BSN, MPH, DESS is the CEO of Jesra Foundation, a serial healthcare entrepreneur and the best-selling author of the Dolphin's Dance: 5-Step Journey into Conscience Awareness. Micheline founded the Blue Dolphin Healthcare group where she built and managed a chain of skilled nursing homes facilities. After 15 years of successful operations, Micheline sold her company to a public healthcare group. Since then, she has maintained a strong involvement in the healthcare business as entrepreneur. In addition, through her writings, workshops and speaking engagements, Micheline is actively creating value for individuals and organizations with a focus on personal growth and social transformation through embracing an attitude of success and discovering the individuals’ passion and purpose. Micheline is also an active philanthropist through the Jesra Foundation that she co-founded, with a commitment to the education and wellbeing of underprivileged children as well rare disease research. Prior, Micheline lead a successful career in hospital administration where she held executive positions at the American University Hospital of Beirut and the American Hospital of Paris when she and her family lived for 8 years. After moving to Canada, she co-founded Chateau Westmount, allied with McGill University and catering for elderly with Alzheimer’s and memory disorders. Micheline relocated to the US in the early 90’s. Jenn Halweil

Chief Story Engineer, Go Beyond

Electrical Engineer turned Story Engineer, Jenn is on a mission to highlight the inspiring stories of individuals breaking boundaries in science, tech, media and beyond, and to inspire a new wave of innovation in the process: one that is socially conscious and sustainable. Jenn Halweil is the Chief Story Engineer at #GoBeyond, an educational media company, highlighting ambitious innovators in science, tech, and media, to explore the more humanistic, social, and ethical considerations of tech innovation and media headlines. Jenn's work is the culmination of a decade of experience championing diversity and inclusion, and science literacy as a serial entrepreneur including: Founder & former CEO of Legacy Impacts, an educational non-profit organizing events drawing over 50,000 attendees; Former electrical engineer focused on sustainability, renewable energy, and the social and political impacts of technological innovation, and the Department of Energy's youngest intern in their FreedomCar Division (their alternative fuel vehicle initiative); Société Générale Citizen Act Winner, Professional Engineers of NC Scholarship Recipient, National Merit and Johns Hopkins CTY Alumni. Jenn currently serves as an advisor and advocate for the Geena Davis Institute and Chloe Capital.

Victor Salama

Exec Director, GNEC

Victor joined Greater Newark Enterprises Corporation (GNEC) in June 2020 as the organization’s Executive Director. He has over 25 years’ experience in creating international partnerships in both for- profit and non-profit sectors and has extensive experience as a nonprofit executive, entrepreneurship workshop instructor and business owner. Prior to joining GNEC, Victor was the Executive Director of First Friends of NJ & NY, a nonprofit organization based in Kearny NJ that supports immigrants who are detained by the US Dept. of Homeland Security in 4 NJ jails and also upon their release. Victor was also President of the LIVY Group, a consulting firm dedicated to helping nonprofits grow through the creation and implementation of program replication strategies. He spent 3 years at StrateSphere LLC, a Columbus Ohio based firm devoted to public-private partnership creation. As Director of Business Development, he grew business opportunities for StrateSphere’s Venture Highway entrepreneurship education programming and other entrepreneurship and education related activities. He was also a Venture Highway entrepreneurship education workshop trainer. Victor spent 15 years as Vice President of Business & International Partnerships at the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE), an organization that provides entrepreneurship education programming to youth serving institutions. His roles included supporting and creating new international and domestic licensed partnerships, managing NFTE’s 11 program offices and pushing forward the company’s strategy initiatives. He has taught NFTE teacher training workshops and youth workshops all over the world. Prior to his career at NFTE, Victor ran his own food distribution company and worked for various United Nations agencies in the area of international entrepreneurship development and technology. He has extensive experience working directly with entrepreneurs, universities, economic development agencies and government ministries. Victor has a J.D. from Washington College of Law, The American University (Washington DC), and an M.A. from the School of International Service, The American University and a B.A. from Franklin and Marshall College (Lancaster, PA).

David Stengle

CEO and Founder, Board++

David is a serial entrepreneur. His latest venture, Board++ cracks glass ceilings, diversifies boards, and prepares our next generation for board seats. Previous companies delivered enterprise software solutions in fintech, adtech, and digital health. He started as a programmer and later led technology, product, marketing, revenue, business development and strategy at startups as well as CEO of several companies. He spent several years as managing director and CTO of an accelerator. He also advises early stage companies. David is the founder and director of Startup Grind's Princeton chapter and runs startup, blockchain, and data science meetups.

Michele Joseph

ED, Student Global Ambassador Program

Michele is the executive director of the Student Global Ambassador Program (SGAP Leaders). SGAP Leaders is a 501(C) 3 charitable organization and empowers young leaders to take action on real-world problems using STEM, sustainability, environmental and social justice challenges. Overall, SGAP Leaders provides a structured vehicle for motivated and curious middle and high school students to come together and find solutions to pressing problems ranging from climate change and fossil fuels to related social issues such as access to clean water, food shortages (and waste), teen suicide and human trafficking. Over the years, SGAP Leaders has inspired, engaged, and empowered upwards of 3,100 students from 75 private, public, charter, independent and religious middle and high schools. Since 2016, Michee Joseph has teamed with Fairleigh Dickinson University, Columbia University, Drew University, Princeton University, Chestnut Hill College, and Montclair State University. Furthermore, Joseph fostered partnerships with like-minded corporations and organizations such as the Urban League of Morris County, Picatinny Arsenal, and Covanta Energy. In addition, Joseph and her partners have secured funding for SGAP Leaders-related programs through the generosity of FirstEnergy Foundation, Constellation Energy, Wells Fargo, Picatinny Arsenal and TD Bank Charitable Foundation. Ms. Joseph attained her MBA in strategy and marketing from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University, and her BSc in Biology/Environmental Sciences from Catholic University of America. She was the team lead for Net Impact while attending Georgetown University. She also earned a certificate in Sustainable Practices for the Workplace and has several CEU in Internal Branding and Marketing Campaign ROI. She taught entrepreneurship to promising high school students at the WEB Dubois Scholars Institute at Princeton University. At present, she is pursuing her certificate in design thinking.             [post_excerpt] => Victor joined Greater Newark Enterprises Corporation (GNEC) in June 2020 as the
organization’s Executive Director. He has over 25 years’ experience in creating international partnerships in both for- profit and non-profit sectors and has extensive experience as a nonprofit executive, entrepreneurship workshop instructor and business owner.
Prior to joining GNEC, Victor was the Executive Director of First Friends of NJ & NY, a nonprofit
organization based in Kearny NJ that supports immigrants who are detained by the US Dept. of Homeland Security in 4 NJ jails and also upon their release. Victor was also President of the LIVY Group, a consulting firm dedicated to helping nonprofits grow through the creation and implementation of program replication strategies.
He spent 3 years at StrateSphere LLC, a Columbus Ohio based firm devoted to public-private partnership creation. As Director of Business Development, he grew business opportunities for StrateSphere’s Venture Highway entrepreneurship education programming and other entrepreneurship and education related activities. He was also a Venture Highway entrepreneurship education workshop trainer.
Victor spent 15 years as Vice President of Business & International Partnerships at the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE), an organization that provides entrepreneurship education programming to youth serving institutions. His roles included supporting and creating new international and domestic licensed partnerships, managing NFTE’s 11 program offices and pushing forward the company’s strategy initiatives. He has taught NFTE teacher training workshops and youth workshops all over the world.
Prior to his career at NFTE, Victor ran his own food distribution company and worked for various United Nations agencies in the area of international entrepreneurship development and technology. He has extensive experience working directly with entrepreneurs, universities, economic development agencies and government ministries.
Victor has a J.D. from Washington College of Law, The American University (Washington DC), and an M.A. from the School of International Service, The American University and a B.A. from Franklin and Marshall College (Lancaster, PA).

            [post_excerpt] => Michele is the executive director of the Student Global Ambassador Program (SGAP Leaders). SGAP Leaders is a 501(C) 3 charitable organization and empowers young leaders to take action on real-world problems using STEM, sustainability, environmental and social justice challenges. 

Overall, SGAP Leaders provides a structured vehicle for motivated and curious middle and high school students to come together and find solutions to pressing problems ranging from climate change and fossil fuels to related social issues such as access to clean water, food shortages (and waste), teen suicide and human trafficking. Over the years, SGAP Leaders has inspired, engaged, and empowered upwards of 3,100 students from 75 private, public, charter, independent and religious middle and high schools. 


Since 2016, Michee Joseph has teamed with Fairleigh Dickinson University, Columbia University, Drew University, Princeton University, Chestnut Hill College, and Montclair State University. Furthermore, Joseph fostered partnerships with like-minded corporations and organizations such as the Urban League of Morris County, Picatinny Arsenal, and Covanta Energy. In addition, Joseph and her partners have secured funding for SGAP Leaders-related programs through the generosity of  FirstEnergy Foundation, Constellation Energy, Wells Fargo, Picatinny Arsenal and TD Bank Charitable Foundation. 


Ms. Joseph attained her MBA in strategy and marketing from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University, and her BSc in Biology/Environmental Sciences from Catholic University of America. She was the team lead for Net Impact while attending  Georgetown University. She also earned a certificate in Sustainable Practices for the Workplace and has several CEU in Internal Branding and Marketing Campaign ROI. She taught entrepreneurship to promising high school students at the WEB Dubois Scholars Institute at Princeton University. At present, she is pursuing her certificate in design thinking. She has over 15 years of strategy, marketing and branding experience in the public, private and non-profit sectors.
